Stephen Engblom, LEED AP, Associate AIA, is an Urban Design Architect and an AECOM Senior Vice President. He leads AECOM’s Design, Planning + Economics team in the Americas. This team consists of 700 professionals in 30 offices providing Strategic Planning, Economic Analysis, Environmental and Ecological Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture . An accomplished urban designer and architect with a global portfolio, Stephen has over 20 years of professional experience. His work spans North and South America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Stephen underpins design with social, environmental and economic sustainability to engender the growth of healthy and successful places.  A LEED-accredited associate member of the American Institute of Architects, Stephen regularly authors articles for design, planning and popular journals, and lectured and taught at universities and institutes worldwide. Stephen received his Master of Architecture from Rice University, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Urban Studies from Lehigh University. He is on the Board of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Planning Development and Construction Institute.
