Professors Wamble and Finley unveil their design for Houston METRO Central Station Competition

On January 24, Professors Mark Wamble and Dawn Finley, principals of Interloop–Architecture, exhibited their design for the Houston METRO Central Station. Wamble presented their project, Open Transfer, to a full house buzzing with excitement. Dean Sarah Whiting served on a panel of Houston leaders who narrowed nearly 70 internationally-recognized firms to the five high-profile finalists Interloop–Architecture, Houston; Neil M. Denari Architects, Los Angeles; Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis Architects, New York; SHoP Architects, New York; and Snøhetta, New York and Oslo. Public comments about the designs are encouraged, and may be made online here. The five-member selection committee includes Professor Carlos Jiménez, and is expected to make a final decision this month.
