Profile

Before arriving at Rice University, Grant spent a year at the Texas Tech University College of Architecture teaching design studios, including two summer studios abroad in Montreal, Canada and Verona, Italy; and he was named the 2009/10 recipient of the Jones award for distinguished faculty service. Prior to teaching, Grant assisted in the preparation of several exhibitions in the Department of Architecture and Design in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and has worked in the architectural offices of WW in Princeton, New Jersey and Reiser + Umemoto in New York City.

Grant's teaching currently focuses on the question or Architecture's capacity to redefine or rehabilitate historically established institutions dismissed or suppressed from cultural consciousness in the modern and post-modern periods.
