Rice Architecture students serve as the design architect leading a collaborative team of structural, civil, and environmental consulting engineers enrolled in their Senior Design Project. The project is treated as a real-world design experience. Design projects include the San Felipe Park Land Bridge, which improves access to Buffalo Bayou Park across Allen Parkway; the Galveston Bay Foundation, which spans 30 acres in Kemah on Galveston Bay; and Hardy Yards Commuter Rail Station, a new commuter rail system that is being planned to bring commuter rail from the north and west to a new station to be located off White Oak Bayou. This class is two credits for Rice Architecture Students - minimum attendance required except for two reviews. Open to non-architecture majors. Space is limited and registration does not guarantee a space in this course.
