Frank White
Lecturer

Profile

Frank White earned his degree in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology, teaches Photography for Architects at the Rice University School of Architecture, maintains a commercial practice in Houston Texas and produces fine art.  Through his work, White seeks to broaden the perspective of the viewer by creating images that challenge the visual and intellectual biases that result through the tyranny of our unquestioned automatic assumptions.  The concepts that get developed come from situations where the humor and incongruity is unforgettable with the resulting work being expressed as a serious subject. Represented by Longnecker Gallery in Houston, Tx., his images are included in the photography collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Bibliothèque national de France, and in private collections throughout the country.
