Professors Finley and Wamble invited to compete for Houston transit station project

In early November, Interloop—Architecture, whose founding principals are Professors Dawn Finley and Mark Wamble, was one of five architecture firms invited to submit proposals for Houston's Downtown Transit Station. The winning proposal will be announced in mid-January.

Dean Whiting's lecture in Chicago rescheduled for January

Dean Sarah Whiting, whose essay Speculating Beyond Iconicity: Bertrand Goldberg’s Urban Project appears in the Art Institute of Chicago exhibition catalog, Architecture of Invention, will be lecturing on Goldberg’s work at the Chicago Arts Club on Jan. 11.

Three RSA faculty short listed for Houston community arts complex

The Independent Arts Collaborative has narrowed its choices to seven architectural firms. On the list are WW (Professor Ron Witte and Dean Sarah Whiting), partnered with Gensler; and Morris Architects, whose Director of Design is Professor Douglas Oliver. The IAC will decide on an architect by the end of this year.
