Cannady Hall 160 - Brochstein Fabrication Lab
A hands-on fabrication course exploring the fundamental relationships between material properties, craft techniques, and functional design. Students in this course will push the bounds of space and light through experimentation. Assignments will follow an industrial design trajectory from research to prototyping to final product. Classes will be centered around group discussions, reviews of each assignment and practical demonstrations. Each student will complete at least three functional light fixtures over the course of the semester gaining fabrication experience driven by their design choices along the way.
