Brett Schneider, senior associate at Guy Nordenson and Associates, joins us for the lecture "Engineering Constraints" at 12:00 p.m. in Farish Gallery.

All lectures are free and open to the public.

Brett H Schneider is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design (faculty since 2012) and the Senior Associate at Guy Nordenson and Associates in New York NY (on staff since 1998).  As a student, he studied astrophysics and art history at Williams College and then architecture and engineering at Princeton University before focusing his career on the practice and education of structural engineering. His current and recent work includes Chicago Horizon in Chicago IL for the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial in 2015 (with Ultramoderne), the Menil Drawing Institute in Houston TX (with JohnstonMarklee), and Day’s End for the Whitney Museum of Art in New York (with the artist David Hammons).
