Fabrizio Barozzi, born in 1976, grew up in Rovereto, Italy. He studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia and went on to complete his academic studies at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla and École d’Architecture de Paris La Villette. Fabrizio taught at the International University of Catalonia in Barcelona (2007–09) and has been an associate professor at the University of Girona (2009–16) and visiting professor at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (2013–15), MIT in Cambridge (2016–18) and Cornell University in Ithaca (2020).
Barozzi Veiga, founded in Barcelona in 2004, works internationally on both public and private commissions, with a focus on cultural, civic and educational buildings. Its work has been widely exhibited and published in the specialist press.
The practice is consciously international in its outlook, with approximately 25 people from different countries, working from a 19th century apartment in the centre of Barcelona. Most of our collaborators have grown professionally within the practice, and this allow us to have a strong experience of working in a collaborative manner. The background and skills of all collaborators allow the practice to have a wide range of perspectives, which guarantees as a core aim the delivering of projects of the highest calibre.
