Scott Key is the CEO of Every Shelter, an organization whose mission is to relieve suffering and grow resiliency for those displaced by war, persecution, and disaster through the design, creation, and delivery of shelter products.
Every Shelter’s first product, Emergency Floor, began as a student project during Scott’s time as a graduate student at Rice Architecture. This modular, insulated flooring tile was designed to provide access to clean, warm floors and thus improve health outcomes for the nearly 30 million refugees living in camp settings with dirt floors. All of Every Shelter’s patented products are developed through deep collaborations with refugees and the relief organizations that serve them.
Professor in the Practice and Co-Director of Construct Danny Samuels will introduce Scott Key.
The Rice 360° Institute for Global Health event in presented in partnership with Rice Architecture and Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen at Rice University.
