The Rice School of Architecture is pleased to re-launch its imprint, Architecture at Rice, as a peer-reviewed platform with two new series that promote established and emerging threads of design thinking and history. Architecture at Rice Dossiers and Pamphlets—along with book-length studies—focus on pedagogy and research in progress, and thematic anthologies on architecture and the city respectively. The initiative is led by professor and associate dean for academic research and academic affairs Reto Geiser.

Published since 1961, Architecture at Rice engages cultural, political, and environmental issues, connecting them to the inherent potentials of architecture and urbanism. The series promotes established and emerging threads of design thinking that, taken as a whole, form a fabric of local-global dialogues. Architecture at Rice is dedicated to the advancement of pedagogical ideas and public discourse among students, educators, practitioners, and citizens, expanding architecture’s agency in a dynamic, interconnected world.
