Rice Architecture student teams received three of the four American Institute of Architects Fort Worth student design awards. Abe Salman (M.Arch '18) and Sai Ma (M.Arch '17) won an AIA Forth Worth Honor Award for their final project "Periphery Party" from Troy Schaum's fall 2017 Totalization studio. Yixin Zhou (M.Arch '18) and Xiaoyun Ni (M.Arch '17) won a Merit Award for their final project "Some Place Like Home" from Troy Schaum's fall 2017 studio. Monica Burckhardt (B.Arch '18) and Drew Heller (M.Arch '18) won a Merit Award for their final project "Hygienic Circus" from Nicholas Gilliland and John Casbarian's fall 2017 Totalization studio in Paris.
