Lecturer Christof Spieler is featured in an article from Wired Magazine, where he discusses findings from his new book Trains, Buses, and People. Spieler analyzed the public transit systems from forty-seven different metro areas, and noted that every system seems to be the product of various land use decisions.

Spieler also believes the metric of success for these systems should be based in discussion of how well the network connects into the city. Though cities such as New York and Dallas have plenty of room for improvement, Spieler remains optimistic about future opportunities for improvement in the American public transit system.
