Congratulations to Sebastián López Cardozo (M.Arch. '22) and Lene-Mari Sollie (M.Arch. '22), who won an A+ Award for Student Work in the AZ Awards 2021 for their project "A New Housing Model for Social and Environmental Resilience in Houston’s Third Ward" from Associate Professor Jesús Vassallo's spring 2020 studio. The project seeks to provide an affordable, socially cohesive, and climate change–resilient housing option for one of Houston's most vulnerable communities. The project also received an Honorable Mention in the Student category of the Rice Design Alliance Houston Design Research Grant 2020 program.
