Rice Architecture Lecturer Stephen Fox was recently quoted in a review of Baylor University Professor Kenneth Hafertepe's Historic Homes of Waco, Texas, a guidebook to Waco's domestic architecture. The guidebook includes 120 entries spanning a range of historical styles, notably the shotgun house. Fox, who teaches an elective on Houston architecture at Rice, admires the book for its intensive architectural examination of a specific place in relation to broader regional trends.
