Public Media Commons

The Public Media Commons, an outdoor plaza and interactive media environment, is a first of its kind public space for public media. Flanked by Nine Network Public Television and St. Louis Public Radio studios, visitors to the Commons engage the city through a host of art, music and media events and through two large facades that incorporate audio and visual elements embedded within a unique, digitally fabricated pattern that invites visitors to interact directly with content in the plaza using their mobile device. The Commons is the recipient of a National ASLA Design Honor Award and an Architecture Merit Award from the AIA St. Louis.
