Social Fabric
Recognizing the social spaces of US cities are increasingly commercialized, privatized, and segregated, the “Social Fabric” sophomore studio in fall 2021, focused on the socio-material interfaces within and between buildings. Students designed a row house typology, row-house suburb, and social center, producing urban space with a density that promotes affordability, public transportation, and community.
